Our Story

Many years ago BMOC founder Tom Edwards was a retiree, filling his time playing golf and painting. While this was nice for a while, after living an active life of service in the US Marines, working with his hands in various fields of work, and raising his lovely daughters alongside his wife Susie, Tom became bored. He had lost his purpose. He turned his eyes to the sky and said, "Lord, if this is all you've got left for me, I'm ready to come home." But God let him know quickly that it wasn't his time to come home - he had people to feed! And the Breakfast Mission of Covington was born.

At BMOC, Tom and his committed group of volunteers show up every day to prepare nutritious and filling breakfast meals to feed homeless and food-insecure people in Covington, KY communities. Susie helps lead service and our mission is clear - to provide nourishing meals and support to those in need, and to create a sense of community and belonging through our breakfast, worship, and faith.
